This history of Benetton architecture, which is about first-rate designs and restorations, splendid photographs, and important people, is also testimony to a forward-looking industrial culture. The book begins with the first Benetton factory designed by Afra and Tobia Scarpa in 1964 and concludes with the recent restoration of the Hotel Monaco Gran Canal in Venice; there is also an analysis of the Fabrica building, the first great European disegn by Tadao Ando, and the history of architecture.
Design lay-out is by Massimo Vignelli, photographs by Antonia Mulas, and interviews by Marco Mulazzani. The introduction is by Deyan Sudijc.
