In November 1977 the first issue of Egoïste were published, under the leadership of Nicole Wisniak.
The photographers and the most significant writers of their era (Helmut Newton, Richard Avedon, Guy Bourdin) have fed the 17 issues published to date with a capricious periodicity. Egoïste is the subjective dictionary of an era. Known for the magic of its layout, its mythical images as Yannick Noah by Avedon or the portrait of Ava Gardner by Helmut Newton and its customized advertisements designed and produced specifically by Nicole Wisniak, Egoïste has offered a space of creativity for the great writers such as Françoise Sagan, Jean d'Ormesson, Bernard Frank. The release of Egoïste is always an event hailed by the international press. Each issue is collected with passion by many enthusiasts.
