Founded in 2012, Acid Magazine was initially a response to the standardization of surfing as its culture was being trapped in its own conventional myths and stereotypes. Today, Acid Magazine is back to pursuing its mission: enrich the surfing culture by offering a space for deconstruction and position-taking, highlighting those who take the risk of creating parallel imaginaries.
Replacing surfing in its socioeconomic, historical and cultural context, the new issue No6 reveals controversies, relationships, fantasies, tragedies, science, and illusions. Among the 26 different stories (A to Z) people will discover exclusive photo series of Quentin Lacombe, David Lurashi or Julian Klincewicz, an essay by Timothe Parrigue and even an historical investigation of the surf scene during the apartheid by Raphael Krafft.
